I flip the dial over to love 105 today right when Howard stern is announcing his deal with Sirius satellite radio. Very interesting and very savvy move for Howard. He could well revolutionize radio by legitimizing satellite radio.

but it raises a question: what do we lose as a nation, as a collection of views when the only media we are exposed to is totally customized to our likes. How can we claim objectivity? How can we claim a common culture? Do we need those things? Does democracy need those things?
